Judging by reports, i will be looking at three major transfer decisions that could hurt them next season if they should go on with it.

1. Not signing a top striker

If there is any transfer decision which will hurt Chelsea Fc greatly next season, it will definitely be not signing a world class striker.

The blues struggled in front of goal last season, as they were largely being helped by their solid backline, which has shown why they need to get a good number 9 before the new season starts.

Haven allowed Olivier Giroud leave, and reports are also tipping Tammy Abraham to quit the West London club, it only but means that Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel will be left with Timo Werner as the only recognized striker next season, which could be a huge problem for the reigning Uefa champions league winners.

2. Selling Abraham and Zouma to epl teams

Another transfer decision which could backfire on Chelsea next season will be selling the likes of Tammy Abraham and Kurt Zouma to their premier league rivals.

The two players have been deemed surplus to requirements under Thomas Tuchel, and are currently attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal and Westham United respectively.

Allowing the two Chelsea players to join their London rivals, could hurt them next season when they face teams such as Arsenal and Westham, as the likes of Abraham and Zouma will be wanting to prove a point against the blues.

3. Paying an inflated fee for a striker

Despite the fact that Chelsea desperately needs to sign a world class striker, they also need to be very cautious as regards the transfer fee in getting one.

Reports have been linking Thomas Tuchel’s team with a 150 million move for Erling Haaland, of which i feel is too much of a fee for the 20 year old.

The blues have had several instances in the past as regards paying heavily for players and they turned out to not leave up to their price tag, and Haaland’s case could follow the same trend if care isn’t taken.
