5 Bible Verse concerning Finance That Every Christian Should Know.
(i) • Philippines 4:19 :- “And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”
This is a great reminder that Christ will meet all our needs. We should focus on Christ because he supplies all of our needs out of his glorious riches not our riches but his.
(Ii) • Malachi 3:10 :- “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”
If God supplies 100 percent of your money then you giving him 10 percent is not a big deal, you still have 90 percent to yourself.a Tithing is a basic principle for finances and I believe every christian should pay their tithes.
(iii) • 1 Timothy 6:10 :- “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”
This does not not say the root of all evil is money. There is an important word there that we have to focus on and it say, for the root of all evil is the love of money, the love of money and money is different. Simply having money doesn’t mean you’re evil but loving money is the root of all evil. When we think about finance we shouldn’t put it as the Lord over our family. Money is simply a tool, it can be a blessing and it’s call also be a curse.
(iv) • Proverbs 22:7 :- “The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.”
Some people borrow money and refuse to repay back, how will they succeed in life? The bible say if we borrow, we need to pay it back. If you borrow money, you become a slave to the lender because from now on, every money you make a portion of it needs to go back to the lender. Keep that in mind when next you’re buying things.
(v) • Act 20:35 :- “I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
We have to remember that the blessings given to us are not just for us. We are blessed so we can be blessings to others. If the Lord blesses us then we have to share it with others. The Lord says; What you have done for the least, you have done it for me. So in sharing our money, our time, etc. All these things that we can give, we are not just doing it for people we’re doing it for the Lord.
I hope you’ve learnt something today. Drop a comment and share. God bless you.
