On matchday 9, there were many impressive results including Liverpool beating Manchester United by five goals to nil. Many players also impressed for their respective clubs. This has made the English Premier League announce the Man of the Match award winners from all the ten English Premier League games played this weekend on their official Twitter account.
In the first match of matchday 9, Arsenal defeated Aston Villa 3-1, and academy graduate, Emile Smith-Rowe won the Man of the Match award after an impressive performance that saw him score one goal and provide an assist.
In the second match, Chelsea humiliated Norwich City 7-0 and hat-trick hero, Mason Mount, who scored his first career hat-trick in the match won the Man of the Match award. Crystal Palace and Newcastle United played a 1-1 draw and Callum Wilson of Newcastle United won the Man of the Match award as he scored the equaliser for Newcastle United in the match.
Another impressive match was played between Everton and Watford. The newly-promoted side defeated Everton 5-2 and Joshua King, who scored a hat-trick was awarded the Man of the Match. Leeds United and Wolves played a 1-1 draw and Wolves’ new signing, Hee-Chan Hwang, who opened the scoring was given the Man of the Match award.
Southampton and Burnley played a two-all draw and Tino Livramento of Southampton won the Man of the Match award. Manchester City intensified the pressure on Chelsea and Liverpool with a 4-1 win against Brighton and Hove Albion and Phil Foden won the Man of the Match award after scoring two goals and providing an assist.
Youri Tielemans continued his impressive form with another goal in Leicester City’s 2-1 win against Brentford and this earned him the Man of the Match award. Michail Antonio won the Man of the Match award for his winning goal in West Ham United’s 1-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur. Liverpool humiliated Manchester United 5-0 and Mohamed Salah, who is in the form of his life, scored a hat-trick and this earned him the Man of the Match award.
