The Brazilian proved his class as he made his way into the box before he finished beyond the onrushing West Ham goalkeeper in the game.

It was Arsenal’s opening goal which was well received by Arsenal fans at the Emirates after so much anticipation for the breakthrough goal.

It was a good way to repay the managers confidence in him as he finished in aplomb to give Arsenal a precise lead in the encounter.

The English talent has been outstanding all season for Arsenal. He’s been one of the major shining lights for his Arsenal side this season.

While he’s also had the magnificent performance of Bukayo Saka and ousted Captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to emulate for his confidence.

He scored in Arsenal’s thrilling encounter against Michael Carrick led Manchester United. And it’s obvious he’s on the rise as he continues to flourish for the side at a time like this in the season.

West Ham goalkeeper was superb

The West Ham shot stopper was at his best in this match as Arsenal displayed their aptness (readiness) to get on the score sheet.

He was one of the positive West Ham had at the Emirates despite the defeat. He frustrated Arsenal’s early efforts on goal thus ensuring that it finished goalless (0-0) at the break.

Such was how good he was as he kept his side in the game to an extent.
