AVFC VS CHE: Chelsea Strongest XI Featuring Lukaku, Odoi And Mount In Attack To Face Aston Villa
Chelsea will be hoping to end their winless streak when they travel to Aston Villa tomorrow after dropping points in their last two English Premier League games.
Thomas Tuchel’s men advanced to the Carabao Cup semi-finals in midweek after defeating Brentford 2-0. As a result, when they travel to face Aston Villa tomorrow, the team will be hoping to build on their recent success.
Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku and Callum Hudson-Odoi have returned and are expected to play in tomorrow’s match.
Hakim Ziyech and Kia Havertz, on the other hand, are questionable for Sunday’s game due to injury concerns, while Ben Chilwell is still out.
Here is my strongest possible lineup in a 3-4-3 formation to face Aston Villa tomorrow. Check it out below:
Kepa was excellent in the win over Brentford, and I expect him to start ahead of Mendy tomorrow.
For tomorrow’s game, Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva are expected to return to the starting lineup. The two should line up alongside Trevoh Chalobah in the backline.
After an impressive performance against Brentford, Kovacic and Jorginho should start as central midfielders on Sunday.
Though Saul Niguez has been impressive in his last two games, he will most likely be a bench option. Kante has also been impressive, but he should start this game from the bench.
Reece James and Marcos Alonso are expected to take their respective wing-back positions.
Romelu Lukaku is back, and I expect him to lead Chelsea’s attack on Sunday. Chelsea have missed having a prolific striker on the field, and I believe his presence will improve the blues’ attacking force. Mason Mount and Hudson Odoi support Lukaku’s attack from the flanks.
Here is an illustration of how the starting lineup should be for tomorrow’s game;
Winning tomorrow is critical if Chelsea wants to keep their title hopes alive. As a result, the players must maintain complete focus throughout the game.
