Barca Angry Over Player’s Attitude As He Was Given One Week To Leave Or Contract Will Be Terminated
Barcelona patience with France defender, Samuel Umtiti is wearing out and thin as he has been just a week to move out of the club or else will unilaterally terminate his contract. The player has numerous offers from Ligue 1 team but he is still feeling reluctant to accept it which is making Barca’s official continue growing impatient with him.
The France international asked for one final opportunity to prove his worth during the pre-season from the club directors and coaching staff. They accepted and coach, Ronald Koeman gave him minutes in the first two friendlies, before telling him he is not in his plans for the new season as his performance wasn’t convincing enough. The former Lyon star hasn’t kept his word and he is still reluctant to leave despite what the Dutchman told him. Barca now have almost no hope that a mutual agreement can be reached.
Umtiti is tipped to leave the club alongside Pjanic and possibly Phillippe Coutinho as the Brazilian continuing to be linked to Arsenal. It emerged Barcelona are negotiating a swapped deal of either Aubameyang or Alexandre Lacazette. Various sources reported the deal involves no cash as Barca can’t afford to pay any money. Coutinho’s move to Barcelona from Liverpool for a record fee of £142m hasn’t turned out well as he’s struggled to replicate his Liverpool’s form.
Bosnian playmaker, Pjanic is expected to leave the club very soon for Juventus on a loan. Pjanic had only arrived last summer for £60m with Arthur going the other way in a transfer worth up to €82 million. The Bosnian has struggled to get some minutes since his move as he fell out of Ronald Koeman’s pecking order.
