Biscuit is an unleavened cake or bread; many people love to eat biscuit because of its light and flaky texture. There are primarily four stage of making biscuit which is mixing, forming, baking and cooling. But in this process, we will be using stove instead of oven. This may sounds local but you will actually love it at the end. So here in this article, I will be teaching you how to make biscuit within 30 minutes or less with just 5 ingredients without an oven.
Here are the ingredients you will use in baking of your biscuit:
2 cups of all purpose flour
¾ cup of milk
1 tablespoon of baking powder
Unsalted cold butter
½ teaspoon of salt
For more taste, you can add little sugar.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in the butter with pastry cutter or fork and mix very well. If you have other add-ins, I will advise you to stir them in now before adding your milk.
You can now add the milk into the flour mixture and mix it until you get thick dough. Now heat your pan or cast iron skillet over low heat and add butter to the pan. Then the dough by spoonfuls into the hot pan and flatten it just a little, you can make the biscuit to your own size but I prefer biscuit big.
Cook until each side become golden brown, this should take about 8-10 minutes, then turn it over and cook again. Let it sit for some time before serve.
