Chelsea Could Sell Nine Players Including Jorginho And Rudiger In Squad Transfer Overhaul
According to reports, Chelsea hope to get rid of their nine players in a major squad reform before the new Premier League.
According to The Express report, the Blues are eager to improve from last season’s fourth place in the league and hope to bring in some new faces to do this.
Dortmund’s popular striker Harland will make the Blues pay back 150 million pounds, and it is reported that they will have to buy Inter Milan’s playmaker Lukaku for 111 million pounds.
They also need Seville defender Jules Kounde and need to balance the books by uninstalling some star names.
Those facing the axe are Tammy Abraham, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Emerson Palmeri, Fikayo Tomori, Ross Barkley, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mitchy Batshuayi, the express claims.
They also reported that the Blues are ready to sell both the Italy’s Euro 2020 champion Jorginho and German defender Antonio Rudiger.
Although the club is unlikely to get rid of this pair of partners, they may have no choice because both stars are in the final year of their contracts.
Jorginho’s agent, Joao Santos, has made it clear that his clients want to stay in West London, but if the club does not make a suitable offer, they will be forced to look elsewhere.
In a conversation with Calciomercato in July, Santos revealed: “He has a two-year contract and everything is in the hands of the club.”
He also admitted that the midfielder who joined the Blues from Naples in 2018 may return to Serie A one day, and many clubs including Juventus are interested in him.
Santos added: “I confirm that these benefits have arrived.
“Of course, the 29-year-old can play well in all top European clubs, and many people are interested in him.”
According to reports, Rudiger is waiting for Chelsea to provide a better deal before he can dedicate his future to the club.
If the Blues cannot meet his requirements, the central defender is considering leaving Bridge on a free transfer after his contract expires next summer
