Chelsea are looking to sell some of their fringe players this summer and have been offered a major boost in their bid to sell one of those players.

Chelsea have now sealed the signing of their summer transfer target Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian joined from Serie A side Inter Milan for a Chelsea record fee of £97.5m.

With the Blues haven spent such amount of money on Lukaku and given that they spent over £220m on new arrivals last season, they are looking to sell some platers to keep their finance in check and free up some space in the squad.

A lot of Chelsea players have been mooted to be on their way out of Stamford Bridge this summer, with the likes of Emerson Palmieri, Marcos Alonso, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Kurt Zouma subjects of major exit speculations this summer.

Though Chelsea are willing to move some of these players on, they have had little or no progress in doing that with none of these player leaving the club yet and we have about 18 days before the summer window closes down.

However, in Tiemoue Bakayoko, Chelsea have had a huge progress with Calciomercato claiming that three clubs are now interested in signing the 26-year-old star, with French Ligue 1 side Lyon the latest to join the race.

Lyon have now joined the race to sign Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko. Initially, it was only AC Milan and Napoli that were in the dugout for the midfielder but Chelsea’s chances of selling the 26-year-old star have now increased with Lyon now willing to sign him.

AC Milan and Napoli have both previously had Bakayoko on loan and are both willing to sign him on a permanent deal.

However, the player in question is said to be preferring a return to France, four years on from his move to Chelsea from Ligue 1 side Monaco.

Bakayoko is more than willing to leave Chelsea this summer because he knows he is not in Thomas Tuchel’s plans despite taking part in some pre-season games for the Blues as they were preparing for the new Premier League season.

Still according to Calcio Mercato, Lyon would likely make an official offer for Bakayoko before the end of next week and hopefully, Chelsea would finally get rid of him.
