You may have begun to notice that, despite the fact that there is no current transfer window or even one that is about to open, Chelsea is still being linked to a number of potential new players.
Of course, this is nothing new; transfer rumors will always circulate; it’s all part of the game. What is interesting is that Chelsea has recently been linked with a number of attacking players, which may be worth keeping an eye on.Names like Leroy Sane, Victor Osimhen, Allan Saint-Maximim, and Kinglsey Coman have all surfaced in the last few weeks.
Normally, this would imply that these connections are significant, and if I’m being honest, I believe these are the positions we’ll be addressing next summer, along with others.
This, in my opinion, stems from the fact that Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, and Callum Hudson-Odoi are all Chelsea players with higher levels of uncertainty.
Pulisic is prone to injuries, so even though he has been in excellent form on occasion, doubts have been raised about whether he is the right guy to be our creator up top.
Ziyech simply does not appear to be suited to the Premier League, and he has yet to contribute enough.
Thomas Tuchel continues to deprive Hudson-Odoi of playing time, and when he does, it is in his less favorite position of wing back. This has raised more doubts about his long term happiness at the club, and if he isn’t being used, he may request to leave.
Chelsea, in my opinion, still requires another offensive player with more creativity, and perhaps more importantly, a playmaker who can beat two or three defenders and create something out of nothing. That type of player is currently unavailable.
There’s a few of the names listed above who could surely do that, and given the situation, I could see some of these connections growing over the course of the season, with possibly even more names entering the picture.
As a Chelsea fan, would you love to see Vitcor Osimhen play for Chelsea?
