EPL PREVIEW: Arsenal Vs Chelsea
Arsenal will host Chelsea in their first Premier League fixture at the Emirates Stadium, it’s Mikel Arteta’s first London derby of the season. After a disappointing loss to Brentford in their opening league fixture, Mikel Arteta’s side will be seeking a win against an in-form Thomas Tuchel side. Chelsea already had a brilliant start to the season after they won Crystal Palace 3-0 at Stamford Bridge. Thomas Tuchel failed to win Mikel Arteta side the last time they met last season.
Arsenal have won their last three matches against Chelsea in all competitions. Chelsea failed to beat Arsenal at Stamford Bridge and at the Emirates Stadium. Chelsea’s last win against Arsenal came in 2019 under Frank Lampard. Chelsea came back from 1-0 and won at the Emirates Stadium. Alexander Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang missed Arsenal’s opening game against Brentford as they tested positive for COVID 19. Aubameyang may likely return against Chelsea after recovering from the corona virus, he has already tested negative and is good to go. Alexander Lacazette and Willian are ruled out of tomorrow’s London derby following a positive test for COVID 19.
Arsenal have no new injuries, Thomas Partey is still yet to return to Arsenal’s training after he sustained an injury in pre season. Arsenal still have a strong squad to face Chelsea Aubameyang, Bukoya Saka, Nicolas Pepe, Smith Rowe and Ben White are all fit for tomorrow’s clash.
