English Premier League giants Manchester United football club and FIFA have reacted to Cristiano Ronaldo’s statement, after netting a brace in Portugal national team’s 2-1 comeback victory over Republic of Ireland to become all-time international top scorer.
The former Juventus football club of Italy star was the hero for the 2016 UEFA Euro Champions as he scored two late goals to guide them to a remarkable victory.
Cristiano Ronaldo was given a starting role in the home team’s attack by coach Fernando Santos and he was able to impress in the game.
Sheffield United football club of England defender John Egan opened scoring for the away team in the 45th minutes, and Cristiano Ronaldo equalized via a beautiful header in the 89th minutes before he scored the winning goal in the 90th minutes to end the match 2-1.
With Ronaldo’s brace, it means he has become the all-time international top scorer with 111 goals for Portugal national team.
Reacting after becoming all-time international top scorer, Cristiano Ronaldo posted a short video of himself on his verified Instagram handle with the caption of;
“I can’t even start to express myself in words! I’m thrilled with an overwhelming sensation! Let’s go, Portugal! Let’s go.”
