How Man United could Lineup with their fourth summer signing Ronaldo

The Red Devils mean serious business this time around. They are not messing around in the transfer market as they have signed up to three players. Ole Gunner Solskjaer have now added another big name to the three signings he made, making it four new players this summer.

Having re-signed Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus, Solskjaer now has multiple options in the striking position. Ronaldo could complete his Man United medicals soon, and this means he might be available at Old Trafford after the International Break. His chances of featuring against Wolves are very slim.

David de Gea continues to man the goalposts for Manchester United but the Spaniard’s run of games could be coming to a close as Dean Henderson nears his return. The full-back pairing of Wan-Bisaaka and Luke Shaw will be backed to retain their spots but a change on the cards could be on the cards in the centre-back role. New signing Raphael Varane is expected to earn his debut outing in the upcoming fixture against Wolves which will mean Victor Lindelof will now be a back-up plan in the defense.

Fred and Nemanja Matic started in midfield last weekend and they did not do a good job of holding on to the ball. Fred, especially, gave away the ball plenty of times but Solskjaer may persist with him to combat the lively and energetic Wolves midfield. The United manager, though, could replace Matic with either McTominay or Van De Beek in midfield. McTominay’s energy, quick passing and pressing could get the nod over Van De Beek, who doesn’t offer much defensively.

Bruno Fernandes is once again seen in the No. 10 position from which he is so dangerous. Marcus Rashford has returned to the club following a successful shoulder operation but is still a long way from getting involved in first-team activities. This indirectly leaves Paul Pogba at the left wing.

Jadon Sancho, who was also a second-half substitute last weekend, could start on the right in the Man United lineup.

He could replace Anthony Martial in the starting XI. Cristiano Ronaldo is seen at the striking position.
