Man United officially announce second signing of the season
A statement by the club on its official website reads “Manchester United is delighted to announce the club has reached an agreement for Raphael Varane, subject to a medical and to player terms being finalized”.
The Frenchman reportedly joins the English Giants for a fee of over £30 million. According to reliable sports journalist, Fabrizio Romano, “Varane’s contract with Manchester United will be on a four-year basis with an option to extend until June 2026.”
Raphael Varane is Manchester United’s second official signing after they secured the signature of Jadon Sancho from Borrusia Dortmund for a record fee a few weeks ago.
Raphael Varane’s signing is surely a big boost for Manchester United as they hope to end their 4-year title drought come next season.
