MNU VS ATL: 3 ManU Players Who Should Be Benched And 3 Stars Who Should Replace Them

LEI 4 vs 2 MANU : How Solskjaer tactical decisions cost Man United the game against the Foxes MNU VS ATL: 3 ManU Players Who Should Be Benched And 3 Stars Who Should Replace Them

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to make changes to his starting lineup when Manchester United take on Atalanta in the champions league on Wednesday.

United lost 4-2 to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium following the international break. Despite dominating the game, United failed to capitalize on their opportunities and were punished as a result.

Following an analysis of Manchester United’s performances, here are three players Ole Gunner should bench and three stars who should replace them for Wednesday’s UCL game.

Jadon Sancho

The England attacker has yet to replicate the spark he displayed in Dortmund. He’s been playing averagely well, but he’s been lacking in terms of creating chances, scoring, and assisting.

Harry Maguire

In my opinion, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made the wrong decision against Leicester City by starting Harry Maguire, who had returned from an injury suffered against Aston Villa. He is without a doubt the best defender in the squad right now, but he should not have started the game against Leicester because he was just recovering from an injury. We all saw how poorly he performed on Saturday. He was slow and made costly mistakes.

Matic started the game well but deteriorated in the second half. Although, I will blame Pogba for his performance because he was left to do all of the defensive work.

Here are the three players who should replace the above listed;

Marcus Rashford

Rashford may have demonstrated to Ole Gunner what he has been missing in attack. The England star scored on his return from injury and delivered a strong performance against Leicester. It would be nice to have him in the attack alongside Ronaldo against Atalanta on Wednesday.

Eric Bailly

During the international break, Eric Bailly was in excellent form for the Ivory Coast national team. I believe Eric Bailly should start ahead of Maguire. This would help Maguire to properly regain his fitness.

For the game on Wednesday, a more energetic midfielder should replace Matic, and there is no one better suited to the role than Fred.

Here is my preferred lineup to face Atalanta on Wednesday: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Eric Bailly, Shaw; Pogba, Fred; Rashford, Fernandes, Greenwood; Ronaldo

What’s are your thoughts on this?
