Beneficiaries of the Nigerian Government’s N-Power scheme who still have outstanding stipends are pouncing on Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development of Nigeria.
Sometimes ago, Farouq had divulgedthat the reason why some N-Power beneficiaries are still yet to get their stipend is that “the office of the Accountant-General is the last authority responsible for the release of their stipends”.
She, then hinted that beneficiaries with outstanding stipends will be settled soon. But no one knows how soon.
At the moment, the Batch B beneficiaries are yet to get their July stipend.
The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs directs the National Social Investment Programmes (NSIPs), in which the esteemed N-Power scheme is one of its segments.
