Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a lot of options for Manchester United’s midfield ahead of next season’s campaign.

As such, the Norwegian will have to make a big decision regarding the team’s midfield setup.

Option A
The first option available for the Norwegian tactician is to stick with the setup he used for most of last season.


In this case, Bruno Fernandes will occupy the attacking-midfield role while Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay play as a central midfielder and defensive-midfielder respectively.

Another option Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could explore is the one involving Jadon Sancho.

The latest signee is a very versatile player. As such, he could be used as an attacking midfielder.

In this case, Bruno Fernandes and Fred could play as pivots while Scott McTominay plays in the defensive midfield position.
