Opinion: Laporta Securing A Loan After Messi’s Exit, Is Another Proof He Purposely Wanted Him Gone.

President Joan Laporta recently, secured a 10-year loan for Barçelona from the Goldman Sachs investment fund worth €455m, which the club will have to repay the loan in full within 10 years, with an interest rate of 1.98% and a guarantee in Barça’s television rights. The big question now is, why then did he refuse to take the CVC loan from La Liga and also had to wait for Messi to leave before making the new loan move?

This is one of the reasons why so many Barçelona fans claim they don’t trust Laporta. Since he knew he was going for the loan, why then did he not wait to see to it before letting Messi leave?. He has been accused of using Argentine to win the presidential elections and then decided to betray him.

The CVC deal was the only way for the club to sign Messi but reports have it that, it will only bring huge losses in the long term. Ideally, it is believed that Laporta did what was best for the club, he could have made the decision to sign Leo after the audit but the club’s situation was 10 times worse that he expected it to be.
