PSG deny reaching transfer agreement with Lionel Messi
On Friday, Khalid bin Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the half-brother of Qatar’s Emir and PSG’s owner, claimed that a deal had been reached for Messi, but the club has now categorically denied such allegations.
PSG’s communications department has told Goal that Al-Thani’s claims that a contract has been reached are false, as the club and Messi’s entourage have yet to reach an agreement.
Following speculations that the Argentine was closing in on a move to Parc des Princes, the 34-year-old took to Twitter to say that the two had settled their differences.
He had wrote, “Negotiations are officially completed.” “I’ll let you know later.”

Despite PSG’s denials, it appears that Messi will move to Paris next season, with few other realistic suitors in the race.
