Italian goalie Gigi Donnarumma ranks as the 3rd best shot stopper in the world on our list. The 22 year old was named the best player in European tournament which was held earlier this year while his performances for Paris Saint German has not gone under the radar.

Currently the best goalkeeper in the Spanish La liga, the name Jan Oblak do not need to be re-introduced to football fans.

The Slovenian has been one of the best shot stoppers in the world for a good number of years now and does not look like he’ll be slowing down any time soon.

1) Edouard Mendy

No 1 on our list is none other than Chelsea’s goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

The Senegalese has proven to be very solid since joining the blues from Rennes last season. He looks to have picked off from where he left off last campaign and will play a huge role in Thomas Tuchel’s side ability to challenge for trophies this season.
