Stats Showing Man. City is King of Early Kick off And Why Chelsea Might Find It Hard To Win
The game week six of the English Premier League commences tomorrow with an early kick-off match between Chelsea and Manchester City. Chelsea host the English Premier League defending champion at Stamford Bridge in an early kick-off match which the Blues seem not to be a favorite of based on statistics. Chelsea has been doing great in the English Premier League. Chelsea has not conceded a single goal from open play in the English Premier League this season but an early kick-off vs the giant Manchester City poses a threat to that.
Chelsea seems not to be a favorite of early kick-off matches. Chelsea was left frustrated the last time they played an early kick-off match in the English Premier League. Chelsea had a good run of events last season after Thomas Tuchel took charge but failed to win an early kickoff match vs Leeds United despite beating the same Leeds 3-1 at home under Frank Lampard.
Also, statistics show Manchester City has the upper hand in early kick-off matches. Manchester City has a very good winning rate in early kick-off matches while Chelsea seems not to be a favorite. According to talkSPORT, Manchester leads the early kick-off win percentage with 70.7 percentage ahead of Chelsea who has 57.5 percentage. Pep Guardiola Manchester City seems to be the king of early kick-off matches with a huge percentage of wins. (See rate below)

With these statistics, Chelsea might find it hard to beat Manchester City in the early kick-off match tomorrow. Perhaps this is a great time for Pep Guardiola to revenge last season three defeats to Thomas Tuchel Chelsea’s side. Recall that Chelsea beat Manchester City on three occasions last season. This is a very good time for Guardiola to revenge for last season’s defeats.
