What makes a great player? Is it the way they play? Is it their ability to score goals or get assists? There is not a simple answer to this, but there is an answer.
Great players have the ability to completely change a game even when they are not having the best of starts. They play well even when the team is playing badly and we are going to highlight the top 10 best Premier League players so far.
10. Thiago Silva – Chelsea
The veteran Brazilian defender is one of the main reasons why Chelsea are so defensively better than any other team in the league. He has only conceded 1 goal.
9. Odsonne Edouard – Crystal Palace
The Crystal Palace striker seemed to take the league by storm when he scored a brace against Tottenham Hotspur in a 3 nil victory. He looks like he will be a top striker this season, despite the team he is currently playing in.
8. Adama Traore – Wolverhampton Wanderers
The player has not been known for much else other than speed but he has improved in his end product this season in a team that is struggling to make some impact.
With 7 assists already to his name, he is currently the League’s best playmaker. He is already a valuable asset to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s bid for a trophy.
6. Michail Antonio – West Ham United
The striker has been one of the League’s brightest sparks and looks set to dominate the charts again as he returns from suspension.
5. Allan Saint-Maximin – Newcastle United
Like Adama Traore, Saint-Maximin is an excellent dribbler and speedster with his end product letting him down at the very end of an attack.
4. Trent Alexander-Arnold – Liverpool
The fullback has roared back into life this season since he missed the European Championship as he was sidelined due to Injury. He has returned as Liverpool’s best creative player.
3. Bruno Fernandes – Manchester United
It is not really a surprise that Fernandes is included in this list because he has been one of the most effective players for Manchester United in the last 5 years. He is the League’s top scorer so far and the club’s best creator.
2. Mohamed Salah – Liverpool
Salah has never really slowed down in his drive and determination to keep scoring goals. He has taken so much of the goal responsibility since he joined.
1. Cristiano Ronaldo – Manchester United
The legend came back to the club that made his career and he has not looked back since. He has scored in every PL game has played in so far.
