This Is What President Muhammadu Buhari Is Earning As Monthly Salary

The president of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, is the commander in chief of the Armed forces, Federal Republic Of Nigeria.

He was elected into office in 2015 after he won the 2015 general elections. He is currently running his 2nd tenure after he won the 2019 general elections again.

I know many people will be curious to to know how much president Muhammadu Buhari is earning as salary compared to the minimum wage in the country.

We’ll I’ll start by revealing to you what the first president of Nigeria was earning as salary after Nigeria became a republic in 1963. The president Sworn in that time was Nnamdi Azikiwe. His Annual salary that time was N14, 000 

However, President Muhammadu Buhari’s current monthly salary is N1.17 million, but his total Annual salary is N26.18 million according to the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission. Note that the above mention figure includes all the necessary allowances.

This annual sum comprises of some allowances namely: hardship allowance, Consistency,

Breaking it further, the hardship allowance paid to the president monthly is N146,446. 250% of basic salary is paid as Consistency allowance which is N732,230 monthly. His basic salary is N292,892

Although there are other allowances such as furniture allowance, accommodation allowance, motor vehicle fuelling and maintenance allowance etc. Such allowances are not to be provided by the official revenue mobilisation allocation framework.
