Transfer News: Arsenal Submit Bid For Premier League Star, Aston Villa To Sign Manchester United Defender
Arsenal have tabled an offer of 60 million pounds for Leicester attacking midfielder James Maddison.
The Gunners are in the market for a creative midfielder and have identified Maddison as an ideal replacement for Martin Odegard who had had returned to Real Madrid after a successful loan spell at the Emirate stadium.
Arsenal have now turned their attention to the English talent and had submitted an offer of cash plus player for the 24 year old. They have offered Gunners four players including Joe Wilnock, Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson.
Leicester had earlier informed Arsenal that Maddison is not for sale unless a 70 million offer is tabled, but a package of around 60 million pounds would be enough to price him away.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa are poised to sign Manchester United central defender Alex Tuanzebe on loan . The defender is down in the pecking order at Old Trafford and the expected arrival of Rafael Verane will further limit his playing time.
The 23 year old has entered the final 12 months of his contract and the Red Devils want him to extend it for a further year as entrenched in his current deal. United will demand up to 5 million pounds for the loan deal.
