Worry for Chelsea as Blues star misses training with national side
Chelsea have been dealt a potential injury blow as Antonio Rudiger missed Germany’s recent training session.
Chelsea will not want to lose Rudiger for a lengthy period of time, but there may be an issue as Bild reports that he skipped the national team’s recent training session.
It’s unclear whether this is a serious issue or merely a precaution, but Chelsea fans will be hoping it’s the latter, or their club may be in big danger.
Chelsea does have some other strong defenders, such as Thiago Silva and Andreas Christensen, but the latter is unreliable, while the former has recently turned 37 years old, so he can’t really be expected to play 90 minutes every week.
Chelsea’s defense could be bolstered by Cesar Azpilicueta and Trevoh Chalobah, but Tuchel’s fitness is likely to be important to the club’s title chances this season.
In the context of football, this update is much more troubling.
According to reports in London, Belgium manager Roberto Martinez gave an update on Romelu Lukaku saying the forward is out of Belgium’s match against Italy due to muscle fatigue and has returned to Chelsea for further treatment.
