Manchester United started their campaign in the UEFA Champions League today as they travelled to face Young Boys at the Wankdorf Stadium on Tuesday evening. The Red Devils were seen as the better team to grab all three points since they weren’t facing a really tough side in the Champions League. Young Boys however also had the intention of winning as they could cause a major upset in the Champions League today.

Manchester United started the game on a good tempo as they had few chances to pull through the Young Boy’s defence. The Red Devils eventually took the lead as Cristiano Ronaldo made good use of Bruno Fernandes’s pass to put Manchester United 1-0 up in the 13th minute.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka was sent off in the 35th minute of the game after a harsh foul on Christopher Martins as Manchester United were reduced to 10 men. Young Boys couldn’t capitalise on their numerical advantage as Man United led 1-0 at half-time.

Young Boys got the leveller in the 66th minute of the game as Nicolas Ngamaleu found the back of the net with a left-footed strike to make the scoreline level at 1-1.

Young Boys’ dominance paid off in the last minute of the game as Theoson Jordan converted brilliantly from a 1 vs 1 situation to give the Swiss side all three points at full-time.
